The quote goes out and nothing comes back. The client misses a session and nobody notices for a fortnight. Following up is nobody's job, so it happens when someone feels guilty, which is late, uneven and impossible to measure. The money lost this way never appears on any report.
What we do about it
We write down what counts as gone quiet in your business, for each kind of thread, and the agent checks for it on a schedule. The intervals, the tone and the give-up point are rules you set, not a model's mood. Every nudge is recorded against the contact, and a reply pulls the thread straight back to a person. What was silently leaking becomes a number you can watch.
